I'm Sharika—an illustrator and writer based in India. I studied animation and comic illustration in both India and the UK, combining my love of drawing with a passion for visual storytelling.
Whether I'm creating work for clients or developing personal projects, my process always begins with pencil and paper. I enjoy sketching ideas, planning compositions, and thumbnailing comic pages before bringing them to life digitally. My goal is to create illustrations that communicate emotion and meaning, no matter how simple the subject.
For my final artwork, I primarily use Procreate. My style is inspired by both manga and Western comics, often blending elements of each into my own approach. I particularly enjoy character design, comic illustration, and creating Sonic the Hedgehog fan art. I am also interested in Comics Studies research.
When I'm not illustrating, I'm usually writing novels. Storytelling is at the heart of everything I create, whether I'm filling the pages of a sketchbook or drafting chapters on my laptop.
I enjoy collaborating with authors, educators, and businesses to turn ideas into engaging illustrations and comics that communicate clearly and leave a lasting impression. So if you'd like something, please reach out!
